Case Study 1

Coaching and Performance Enhancement for a senior level pharmacy research scientist who was recently recruited from another pharmaceutical company.  Carol was assigned to manage a global resource team for the further development of a particular class of drugs.  She had several peers working on other classes of drugs, with varying objectives.  Her new company believed in high communication and strong cross-functional sharing.  This set of beliefs was a large culture shift for Carol, and she was falling behind in her effectiveness, when a coach was called in to help her.

Case Study 2

Executive Coaching and Leadership Development for senior financial services information systems and technology executives who were assigned to manage the daily operations for a conversion to a new MIS on a global basis. Their knowledge and experience were strong in data systems. However, they had never managed a conversion of this scale, with the inherent degrees of complexity, and global scope. Amy and Frank were two of twelve people in the Information Systems and Technology Group who worked with a select team of coaches, at the request of the group's senior officer, to assist his staff with the numerous responsibilities to be exercised in a highly effective manner.

Case Study 3

Organization design and development for a national oil and gas company, faced with over 12,000 excess personnel due to the integration of four formerly independent affiliates. National laws and economics prohibited any large-scale downsizing so the teams created a shared-services organization with the 12,000 employees to provide internal and external services. The process required the development of business and competency models, roles and responsibilities, training and organizational structure.
